GalterLists Gadget

The library is pleased to announce a beta website feature: GalterLists integration with Google

Do you organize much of your life in Google and only venture over to the library website to access your GalterList?

If so, you can now access any public GalterList directly in iGoogle (see first image below).

The best part is that it's really simple. Read More about iGoogle.

  1. This is a toggleable feature. If you already have it enabled, clicking the following link will disable it. Otherwise, the link will enable the GoogleGadget feature.

  2. Once enabled, just view any public GalterList on our website and click the Add to Google button (currently the GalterList needs to be a public list. If you have kept your list private, you will not be able to add it to iGoogle. If there is enough interest in adding private GalterLists to iGoogle, we will consider adding that feature).

  3. Confirm you want to do that on the Google page and it's all added!

  4. Now it's on your iGoogle page. You can move it around or move it to a different tab just like any other GoogleGadget.
Note: Updates to the list are not immediate, so if you make a change to your GalterList it will take up to an hour to refresh on Google.

Tell Us What You Think

If you try this feature out, please use the "Comments and Suggestions" link on our website to let us know what you think about it (either expressing how cool it was or how much it wasted your time). Thanks!
