The Galter Health Sciences Library has the following two public printers: one in the Reference Room and one in the LRC. Printing requires a Wildcard or copycard. Duplex/double-sided printing is the default. Printing costs are as follows:

• $.05 per sheet for black and white printing (default)
• $.25 per sheet for color printing (change to color by clicking the Properties or Preferences button in the print dialog box)

To print, click the print icon in the program you are using. Note the number of the computer you are using. This number is on the upper lefthand corner of the monitor. Insert your card into the card reader attached to the printer and find your job, identifed by the computer number, on the screen of the print station. Highlight the job and click the print icon.

The library has three self-service photocopiers (two black and white and one color) that operate either with coins, a WildCARD, or a Galter Library copy card. Black and white fees are $.06 with WildCARD, $.08 with guestcard, and $.15 with cash per copy; and $.70 per copy for color (no cash, only with card). Copy cards can be purchased and recharged at the Vendacard machines located on the first and mezzanine levels of the library. 

Photocopy machines are located on Level 1 and the Mezzanine. The Level 1 machine accepts cards, coins or bills.

To buy a card, go to the card machine which is located under the stairs on Level 1 of the library, next to the Learning Resources Center entrance or use the machine on the mezzanine against the south wall. A dollar bill is required to buy the card and then value can be added in higher bill denominations. To add value to your card, insert the card and then insert the bill for the amount you wish to be added to the card. The machine does not give change. NU Wildcards can be used to make copies in the Galter Library.

To find out about charging copies to your department, go to the Circulation (front) desk of the library and request a billing authorization form.

The Galter Library does not have a change machine. If you plan to come to the library to copy, bring single dollar bills to purchase a copy card, or bring coins (nickels, dimes, quarters) for the coin operated copy machines.
