Second Annual Medical School Book Fair
Stephanie Kerns, MLS, Head, Education and Outreach/Curriculum Librarian, skerns@northwestern.edu
Galter Library and the Office of Medical Education and Faculty Development
held the Second Annual Medical School Book Fair on April 2 in the labs on the
second floor of the Tarry Building.
It was designed to provide a convenient forum for faculty to see the new
books, editions, and educational software that relate to their subject areas
to help formulate required and recommended resources for the next academic year.
Students were also able to attend so they could see the resources available to
help in their education.
Participants included Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Elsevier, McGraw-Hill,
AMA Press, and Icon Learning Systems. These vendors demonstrated software for
learning clinical skills, anatomy, and for help with studying for board exams.
They also had books for a variety of areas, including basic science education
and physical therapy.
If you would like the library to purchase any books or software for use in the
curriculum, please contact Stephanie Kerns at (312) 503-1201 or skerns@northwestern.edu.
