Galter Says Farewell to Mrs. Natalie Boshes, Library Benefactor

James Shedlock, AMLS, AHIP, Director, j-shedlock@northwestern.edu

The Galter Library staff offers sincere condolences to the family of Natalie A. Boshes who passed away June 1, 2005, at the age of 85. Mrs. Boshes was a great friend and benefactor of the Galter Library. She and her late husband, Dr. Louis D. Boshes, endowed a special book fund to establish the Louis D. and Natalie A. Boshes Library for the Neurosciences. This book fund endows all the library’s current monographs covering the topics of neurosciences and neuroanatomy. The endowment’s Web page can be found at http://www.galter.northwestern.edu/donors/boshes.cfm. Each book purchased with the Boshes endowment has a link to this Web page which is our means of honoring their generosity to the Galter Library, The Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern University. Mrs. Boshes was a lively personality and was great fun to be with. She enjoyed sharing her stories about growing up in Chicago and took great pride in her association with the university, its leaders and students. She will be greatly missed.
