With the new year, the library is continuing to increase its electronic collection. It is anticipated that most of the resources listed should be accessible in early 2008. Northwestern University libraries have collaboratively licensed this American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Web information resource. Continually updated, it is based on the classic ASM Press publication, Escherichia coli and Salmonella: Cellular and Molecular Biology. It is an archive of the entire corpus of knowledge on the enteric bacterial cell, comprised of several hundred modules of information and interpretation, including the genome database.
