Open Access Week @ Galter: October 19-23, 2009
Are you still confused about how to add PubMed Central ID (PMCID) numbers to your manuscripts? Do you wonder how open access journals rank against paid subscription journals in impact factor measures? Would you like to know how you can find contract addenda that will allow you to retain intellectual property rights to your published manuscripts? As part of Open Access Week (October 19-23, 2009), Galter librarians will present a seminar series on the latest issues and developments in open access. All seminars will take place in the Searle Conference Room in the Lurie Research Building.

The aim of Open Access Week is to help spread the word and broaden awareness of open access around the world. As well as the library’s seminar series, you can also learn more about open access with the library’s new Open Access Resources Guide. The guide contains background information and timelines for open access as well as interesting facts and links to resources. A full list of resources is also available on our Open Access Resources GalterList. An article on the Northwestern University Library website highlights the open access experience of selected NU faculty.
