UpToDate, the popular clinical information tool, is now available from off-campus to all Feinberg School of Medicine faculty, staff, students, and residents.

To access UpToDate from an off-campus location, you will need to sign into the Galter Library website with your Northwestern NetID. If you do not have a library website account, instructions for creating one are provided on the library website.

Earn CME Credits

UpToDate now allows users to earn CME credits for reading content on its site. If you are a faculty member or resident:

  1. Sign in to the Galter Library website.
  2. When prompted, provide your NPI number if you are interested in earning CME credits in UpToDate. There will be a link available to look up your NPI number. 
  3. At the UpToDate website, you will be prompted to register for an UpToDate account so that you can keep track of your CME credits.
