The Galter Library has moved to a secure login process for public computing.  All public computers require a NetID and password to log in.

Important: Don't forget to log out of a public computer. If you come across a computer that does not prompt you to log in (the regular desktop shows up instead of the purple login screen), then log out and log in.

What if I don’t have a NetID?

All faculty, staff, students, and residents are assigned a NetID. Hospital staff are usually eligible to apply for one. Ask library staff for details.

If you do not have a NetID, you can get a guest one at the front desk. Guest NetIDs are valid for one day only. Any user who needs a guest NetID must present a valid NU credential and a photo ID. Alumni must present either a Medical School or NU Alumni Association John Evans purple card. No other forms of ID will be accepted.
