Michelle Frisque was also an invited speaker on the Top Technology Trends panel at MLA.
Ramune Kubilius chaired a meeting of the 2013 annual meeting concurrent session planners, part of her responsibilities as the 2013 National Program Committee’s Section Council liaison.
Appointments and Committees
Michelle Frisque was appointed as chair of the Library Information Technology Association's (LITA) Assessment and Research Committee. She will serve July 2012-August 2013.
Michelle also served as and was reappointed to act as the LITA committee chairs coordinator.
Other News
Special Collections Librarian, Ron Sims, was quoted in an article on anatomical flap books titled, The “Invisible Man” of the 16th Century in CenterPiece, Spring 2012 (see p. 21).
Michelle Frisque graduated with a Master's degree in Learning and Organizational Change in June from Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy. Congrats, Michelle!
The library recently said goodbye to Kurt Munson, head of User Services. Kurt has moved to the University Library in Evanston where he is the Resource Sharing & Reserve Librarian. We wish him the best in his new position.
